My Question would be WHY?, coolpower is much more expensive and and older style of fuel, Opti is more morndern and cheeper, stick with what you know if i was you

You'll have the same power, better bearings and cheaper if you use Rapicon!

The only 3 main contenders are Model technics copta 30, optifuel and rapicon in my book, these are modern types and are alot better value for money

It certainly is cheaper at 23.48 for a 30% 4liter bottle from FL.....I should really consider my options more when it comes to buying fuel next time now

My clubmate has just gone back to Coolpower. It appears to have come down in price considerably recently, back into line with other competitors. It's bleedin fantastic fuel that will look after your engine like no other, and if they are coming back into the arena, then give it chance.

Here you go, my engine after countless gallons of Rapicon 20%. Our club secretary because of his contacts used to supply bearings at a massive discount because we went through them so often. Now, he doesn't even bother getting them. The club just about exclusively uses Rapicon because of the bulk deal they offer to clubs and we don't have rear bearing trouble. Simples. Even the Chairman changed from Wildcat, which he'd been using for as long as he cares to remember.

I've used Optifuel for years and never changed a bearing in any of my helis.
Yes from Cool power to Opti the throttle response would be a lot quicker/snappy with Optifuel.

Strange how the whole club with various fuels before just waited for the death rattle but now don't even give it a second thought.

                            just my own personal experience.

i have NEVER ruined a bearing on any engine using 20% nitro.

i have NEVER had any engine i've ran on 30% not do a bearing at some point. the higher the nitro the more destructive the fuels are to our bearings-fact.

i would not change from optifuel to coolpower personally, i can see zero point in it.

btw i should add i have used model technics, rapicon, optifuel, wildcat and magnum over the years in both 20 and 30% guise and same experience with them all with respective nitro.

i'm about to put a ys120 in one of my velocitys and i would be amazed if i see 10 gallons a bearing with that motor.

                            cheers

I would also suggest Rapicon,I have used the other two options extensively and IMHO Rapicon is the best and my preferred choice.I also buy direct from Rapicon for the free postage.
