          no - the nifty fifty is not stock. stock lens is 18-55 f4-5.6

            It's also about 1/3 the price of the stock lens lol. Fixed prime 55mm so have to hover close The stock lens could take pics just as nice, but without such a narrow DOF (blurred background).

            And Rob, that was the hard bit, luckily the V-Bar kept it hovering right above the grass while I snapped some pics.

              Ok cheers for the info. So what's the benefit (apart from price) of the 50mm Prime? I was going to buy the 600d which comes with the 18-55mm lens.

                Great flying and photos.
                If you slow the shutter speed down you can get more blade blur, gives it more 'motion' look to the blades.
