Can the align 3g be connected with align gp750 gyro
Yes, you can bypass the 3G's internal tail gyro by not connecting its 2 connection plugs and just use the flybarless gyros on aileron and elevator only.

lol im a numpty at this so i take the sensor and cable off, do i connect the gyro and rudder to the reciver as normal?
Correct. Just plug it as normal. The 3G Rudder is based on the 780 which is supposed to be an advance on the 750. Most people disagree and say the 750 was better. I am quite happy with my 3G as is and have bought another 2 to convert some of my other Helis.
Been there and done that, but never stop learning. Now too many Helis to mention?
have you taken the sensor off your 3g and used a gyro? im just confused.lol so i definately take the sensor off?.lol would me using the 750 gyro av any benifit over the ordinary sensor? sorry for this.lol

I mentioned on another thread that the 3G rudder is based on the GP780. Some think that the GP750 was better. YES. Just take the Rudder connections from the sensor to the Rx off and connect the 750 as normal. I personally see no advantage to doing so. It is just a matter of preference.

You are welcome. And by the way, you are NOT a numpty nor asking a stupid question. The only thing stupid, is a stupid answer.
Starting on Helis has been a BIG, but enjoyable learning curve for me. Happy Flying.

You can do as above, you will need to keep the 3G gyro sensor unit connected to the main unit. However its rudder channel and gain channel flyleads that connect to the receiver will be left unplugged and the GP750's connections made to the receiver as usual.
As mentioned the 3G's gyro is good when setup correctly, unfortunately it was quite easy to not have a good mechanical setup which is usual with any gyro and the 3G would then not perform to well. On all my 3G'd models I am using the inbuilt tail gyro and it holds very well in aggressive flight.
When you're ready I have some good settings which you can load to the 3G using the pc link software and lead.

I set mine up stock to start with. Then flashed some settings that a friend got from you and I am now running Leon Lukes settings with a couple of mods to suit my setup. I LOVE FBL and 3G. Not tried anything else. Do I REALLY need to?
