Align 3g v1,v2 or v3

As per title folks. Iam setting a spare 3g fbl sys on my mini titan e325, I think the units are v2, however should I buy the dongle and update to v3, any susgestions.

from what i have seen and herd i would go with v2.1 i have v3 on mine at the moment but i will be going back to v2.1

V2 was quite abit of difference over the v1. More stable and less bounce you could get on the v1. You can usually tell if it is the v2 as it is laser etched on the control unit together with the serial number. I have found the v3 better over the v2. Having a bit of problems on the tail though which i have not looked into or sorted as yet.

YES. Just unplug the sensor cables for the rudder from the Rx and plug the 750 in as normal. My friend updated his 3G to 3 and then back to 2.1 again. I am using 2.1 and quite happy with the 3G as it comes. Then again, I found the 780 which the 3G rudder is based on was easy to set up and worked fine for me too.

Hey.

From experience of all firmwares from V1 to V3, I'd suggest upgrading to V2.1 available from the Align web site. Download the latest date one which from memory is 28th August 2010.

V3 gave some improvements to the tail gyro performance, however the cyclic feel degraded and became very unpredictable I felt. I did spend a lot of time trying to work out a decent set of settings to make V3 feel as good as I'd got V2.1 to, but gave up and went back to V2.1.

The settings I've mentioned in your other topic suit V2.1 and this will suit you well.

Actually we are wrong by referring to it as version 3. It is version 2.03 Beta. We are using version 2.01 which is Stable.

I've just checked mine and it is version 2.0 - My son updated his to 2.03 and then reflashed with 2.01 as did our friend. I just never got around to doing mine yet. But why change something that works?

Done both my 3G's to v3 & seems much better more so on tail.
