  • Which battery connectors for 12s

I'm sure this is on here somewhere, but can't seem to find it.

Just moving into electric helis (logo 600 and align 600e on the way).

I really wanted to use xt60 connectors, but at 60amp I'm guessing they are no good for my application?

    What would you recommend?

    Cheers.

I'm using EC5's on my 600e Pro & very pleased with them. Only downside seems they're not reusable so when you change packs you have to buy new connectors unless someone knows how to get the pins back out.

Sounds like you havent got genuine EC5's Sean because I have zero problems with pins coming out.

Just to clarify I bought some EC5's from eBay which proved to be none genuine / copies.

I then bought bought some EC5's from Hobbyking which were a much better quality and fit.

Don't make the same mistake I did.

some people are using them on the 6s setup but tend to change them out for ec5's on the 12s stuff, they are a doddle to solder

I'm using 4mm bullets no problems here, two bullets on my Logo 600 ESC have had over 400-500 plug in cycles with no problem.

I bought mine from Midlands so would have thought they were the real deal, but who knows.
In case I'm being daft, how do you take them apart after you've used them and want to re-solder to them .

I put them in a vice and get something like a hex driver and hit them with a rubber mallet and they just pop out one at a time and are fine to be reused

I used 4mm bullets as per the Turnigy packs before and they were fine just changed to EC5's as they better rated for the job
