It seems one of my Align 410 servos on my 450 pro has never left the ground but one of the servos is grinding badly. If i replace one for a Hitec unit will it be ok or do i need to replace all three for a different brand.

I would change all three, not just the one, or just get another 410 servo or maybe just change the gears in the dodgy servo.ANdy - CDMFC

Yes change the lot or replace the 410 or its gears... the Hitec 65MG or 5065MG will be a different speed to the DS410M's which will lead to issues with the swash not moving level for pitch.Rob

I've run different servos on the swash with no detectable problems. There shouldn't be a problem with the swash staying level as you can change the travel of each servo to suit. There is very little difference between the speeds of similar servos, so it should be quite a small effect. Each servo is going to be seeing a different load anyway, so different servos will reach their demanded position at different times. Ideally the servos should be so powerful and fast that differences don't matter. It looks to me that the rear servo does more work than the two that control roll. If I am right, then servos should not be matched as the system is not symmetric. My theory isn't really even a theory, just a thought. It would be nice to see some measurements.Flasher 450 Sport. Well done. I spent a lot of my working life fixing complicated problems, so helis didn't seem that much of a problem. I now know I was very wrong. But, you do feel pretty good when you finally find the problem. Especially if it's cheap to fix.
To anyone still struggling, don't feel that you are stupid or that everything is against you. It may well be true but you won't be alone.Flasher 450 Sport. Assan GA250 with 520 tail servo, MKS DS450 cyclic.
