Just back from an Op tour of Afghanistan with a nice bonus and looking for a new heli. I want to replace my N9 with another 90. This is where I need some advice, Rave 90, Align 700, Avant 90 or Outrage? I want it to be flybarless and of the same quality as the Synergy. Help please....I really like the look of the Rave, it's top runner at the moment

Cant go wrong with a trex 700, easy to build and parts always available but if it were my money it would have to be the Avant, Arguably the best 90 on the market, definately the best looking, and flies superbly with a great after sales service from midland helicopters.Avant mostro 700E
Avant mostro 700 Nitro

Trex 700, stretched Logo 600se, Velo 90... The Logo is obviously electric though.
...all float my boat.
Edit: For quality, it would have to be the Logo. Not had a single problem with the 700 but the quality isn't ever going to be the same as a Synergy, looking at the parts prices would give that away.Last edited by sacko; 30-08-2011, 01:46 PM.

Well, you could be a real rebel and get a Blitz Avro.
The quality is definitely there.
The downsides are that it's a little bit heavy and a bit expensive (but not really far
from the price of the Synergy or the Rave). One thing about the Rave is that,
from what I have seen, it doesn't crash too well. I know of two that have
suffered major frame damage where other helis would likely have fared better.
I really like the look of the Rave as well and I know it's a top notch machine
for F3C. It just seems like the lower frame design doesn't withstand much
impact (obviously not a problem if you don't crash).Last edited by trillian; 30-08-2011, 03:03 PM.Kasama, Minicopter, Henseleit, JR, Shape, Beam

What do you want, electric or nitro?

From my models I can comment on these two.
Align T rex 700 Le nitro , cheap agressive but huge fun, sort of a ford focus really,....
R ave 90 Env , quality , presence, class and very easy to fix but not as chuckable as the t rex.
If you stick bang, its the T rex, but If you like to go big with style and may want to go lecky then its the Rave as to convert costs only £79 in parts.
Hope this helps x RachelLast edited by rachel; 30-08-2011, 08:16 PM.

I'm so glad you've managed to get back home safely and with a well deserved bonus, no one has mentioned the kasama so I will, a Srimok N would be my 1st choice , top quality , although it looks complicated its so simple to work on ( if you have too), I bought an avant over a rave but either of those machines would be a good option

Or you could wait for a while longer and get the Rave Ballistic. This is a totally native electric airframe and lighter in weight than the ENV and looks to be really good. I suppose an obvious point to make here is that no 90 size machine crashes well and all will cost you money in the event of a crash. You pays your money and makes your choice !!Originally posted by trillian View PostWell, you could be a real rebel and get a Blitz Avro.

Yeah this is true, it just seems the ENV frames may not be as sturdy as comparable 90 helis but perhapsOriginally posted by Bluegarry1 View PostOr you could wait for a while longer and get the Rave Ballistic. the couple crashes I am aware of are not typical. If I had not bought the Avro the Rave would have been
one I would have seriously considered myself because it suits the kind of flying
I aspire to.Kasama, Minicopter, Henseleit, JR, Shape, Beam
