  • The field of doom claims more heli blood...

Damn it if that feild hasn't claimed more heli blood today. The TT360 went in today

Got a bit too clever practicing fast 8's and got it way too low and then dumb thumbed the correction. One of the blades was 1/3rd of the way in the ground but remarkably both urvived without any damage.

So far looks like main shaft, flybar, boom, skids, main gear, and he straight TT gear. Can't see anything else yet but not got it all stripped down yet.

Very lucky really, especially since I hit my gyro rate switch instead of throttle hold. Really need to keep my finger in a more handy spot for that switch.

Yeah I'm not too gutted, this time it's fixable with my spares stock

Was doing quite well up to that point, need to learn not to turn too tight, I keep adding too much rudder so the turn isn't smooth. It'll get better.

Why not add a little expo to the rudder. Cant do any harm can it

Me too chap, too much wind, almost got it under control but had to chose between the tree or a fast descent, the rotor head has had quite a few knocks but this one proved too much and snapped, managed to break my water wings too, so just enough reason to go flybarless a little early.

Sorry to hear Pete! I can lend you my lucky socks next time . Your flying today was great and precise in these windy conditions.

I'l not sure that would help Graham, the problem is more that I haven't got the hang of following the nose during a banked turn, and then I got it wrong while I'd lost speed, too low, thump

Fair enough, but sounds to me like a good reason to get on Phoenix for a bit more practice

Most importantly, I got it on film!

It happens Pete and you have really improved since we last met.
