          we are near Whitstable,, near Manston Airport, we get alot fly over this time of year, usually Spits and Hurricains.

              I live in Cambridge and seem see this a lot during the summer (more last year than this year, though). For some reason it seems to fly ridiculously low over the city---you don't need binoculars; you need to duck!

                They fly pretty much everywhere at or under 1000ft. The reason for staying low is something to do with not bringing in the super chargers on the engines to protect their lifespan.

                          I live 5 miles away from coningsby so see the Lanc on a regular basis...however the noise from those merlin engines catches your attention every time...
