I was wondering if someone could help me locate a parcel from Singapore that seems to have gone missing.
I ordered a parcel for some spares back in July and according to the singapore post mail tracking it arrived in the UK on the 2nd of August. Now I know they often get held up in customs but it's not really of a large value (less that £50). The tracking says attempted delivery on the 5th. Now I normally get something through my door saying I've missed my item or I have a customs charge but there is nothing this time. It just seems to have disappeared. I contacted Singapore post who told me to contact Royal mail / parcel force. Calling parcel force was easy (and they have no record of the parcel) but I can not get to speak to anyone at royal mail, only their automated phone service or their website.
Has anyone any idea how I can find where my parce is?
    Please help lol!

    Cheers,

    Paul

Have you checked with all your neighbours? None of them gone away who might have taken it in for you?

Cheers for the advice. Am going to drive up to the local depot now. Neighbours are all really good and would tell me they have something for me. Think the depot might be my last hope. I'm a touched annoyed it seems to have disappeared!

I bought a guitar from the States for my lad, and fully expected to pay import duty, etc, on it. Nothing appeared to turn up. Online, it said, failed delivery. Well we were in !! Eventually a letter arrived to say it could be collected from the main sorting office, after payment, etc. But the main sorting office wasn't in my town (Nantwich), it wasn't in the next big town (Crewe), it was in Hanley. So whether they have special offices for picking up big/expensive/imported stuff, I don't know.
          Good luck

Well I went to the local depot and gave them my address and they told me there was nothing for me. I then launched into my spiel about it appearing to be lost and not being able to talk to anyone from Royal mail on the phone as everything is automated. They then asked me if I had the Singapore post tracking number to which I replied I have but put it in their automated system and nothing was found. At this I was assured theirs was a lot more thorough than the one online. 2 minutes later they turned up with my parcel in hand which had been sitting there for 2 weeks!!! No note through the door or anything.

I'm all for automated systems to reduce work loads but there should always be an option to speak to someone. If I hadn't made my way to the depot how much longer would it have sat there for without me being told? Also I've been there a couple of times after the date it was initially attempted to be delivered, you would have thought they could have told me then?? Oh well, on with the upgrades!!

Cheers for your help Sacko and Buckers.

I had a failed delivery the other day...they had tried to deliver to the wrong address and if the person there hadn't been kind enough to pop round with the note they'd shoved through....totally unrelated road names too....
