  • where to shop?

    hi everyone,

just wondered where everyone shops for heli parts and kits?

would like to find a place as cheap as giant cod if poss? (love his prices but never seems to restock),

I like hobbyking (but it takes sooooo long to get here!)

and i know the obvious ebay but is there anywhere else out there?

    regards

What kinda Models you after ? i use Fast-Lad simple because they always have stock and when i want something i want it NOW i try and support the smaller guys too but if they dont have the stock im afraid i will not wait lol. Giant Cod is OK but they dont sell any quality heli kits or parts, how ever never has a issue with there lipos or chargers.

TBH your best bet is second hand Genuine kit, how ever Giant cod to Hobbywing Esc's and i have used quite a number of them and never had a issue on planks. Lipo's well its either Giant cod if you want them next day or Hobby king if you can wait. with a 500 sized model your getting into the kind of territory where its going to do You or some one near by a Fair amount of damage/injury so i would not be going too cheap with 500 models. Even a 450 has the ability to kill you !!!!! BMFA and Ebay really are going to be your friend. there are some good second hand parts out there.

I would not say working up to nitro as nitro is no better than Electric they both have pro's and cons. for me the Plug in and Go of electric just means i can sneak flights in when i only have 10 mins.
