  • E-Flite Blade CX2

Ive been flying my blade CX2 now for about 4 days! Ive been getting quite good at hovering and getting used to all the usual controls. Over last night and today i have progressed to trying to perform more rapid/sharper movements. For example flying the Blade CX2 full spead ahead and then bringing it back again SHARPLY. Same thing with rolling it left and right. Being though i have been doing this on two occasions as i have moved the cyclic (knob! lol) sharply, the blades have been hitting each other. Bearing in mind that this is a heli with Coiunter Rotating blades or woteva they are, if you dont know what i mean i have posted a picture below. Has anyone else known for this to happen? as it is a bit annoying as i dont want to keep chipping my blades!

Yeah, be warned that you can move the servo linkages out on the arms to get more swash travel, BUT this will lead to such blade clashes much more often. It all depends on how agressive you get with it, remember the CX2 is pretty much a toy (though I love it anyways) and not engineered for perfection. Thankfully blades are cheap for this lil' funster. Glad you're enjoying her. Have you made a point of flying into every room in the house yet? Its a must - and all on the same battery pack mind you.

Yes, someone brought one out to fly at our little fly-in session the other weekend. They don't 'arf fall out of the sky fast when the blades collide. Quite funny to watch, and the best bit is, there's never normally any damage. Simply pop a ball-link back on and off you go again.

I just upgraded some of my parts to aluminium its much more robust and looks alot nicer, now i need to reset my servo rods to get steady hover tonight. The Blade CX2 is not designed for agressive flying its more of a forgiving easy/fun flyer. If aggresive is the way you want to go its a copter change im afraid, take the next step and go collective pitch.
