  • Fed up waiting 4 modules...

The Spektrum (for Futaba) 2.4GHz modules seem to be taking forever...

I have also seen Futaba are due to release their own FFAST technology 7ch and 8ch module/Rx combo. Any ideas when these will appear, or is it a bit of a nebulous launch date, like Spektrum?

In fact - any bets who will be first? Spektrum or Futaba? Getting them out before the Nationals would be a good move from a commercial point of view, but I'm not holding my breath

    Cheers - Rob

      Hi Steve

Same here... models programmed in and parameters fine tuned on my 9C. Plus I don't want to downgrade to a DX7

Hopefully they'll appear one day soon.

      Cheers - Rob

...not for Futaba though. You must be talking JR.

Word on the street seemed to be Futaba Spektrum modules out by end of August; washers or no washers. Well that came and went. Maybe they meant August '08?

Anyone heard anything to the contrary?

Seriously considering selling up my Futaba 9c radio gear to migrate to JR or Futaba's own 6ch 2.4GHz system.

                Cheers - Rob.

I won't come away from my 9c yet I can wait whats the rush?

Personelly no major rush to go 2.4ghz. I can have the whole 35mhz board to myself soon

I must say though Specktrum and Futaba 2.4ghz at our club has kicked off big style with new members leading the way. I'd say 90% of new members are on 2.4 now one make or another.

Few club members have switched so far but its not a massive uptake really but over time I can see most people switching.

Just wish they would get the futaba 7-9 channel stuff out now!

I'd even look at JR 2.4 7-9 channel stuff if it appears.

Snag is, I'm moving to Australia shortly. 35MHz is illegal there - it's all 36MHz or 2.4GHz, so I have to move frequencies one way or the other.

I'd rather the 2.4GHz - glitchless and shorter antennas for starters

                    Cheers - Rob
