Woo hoo, just pulled off my first loop, decided to pop out before work as I got in early.

First minute pulled into a hover just to get the thumbs going thought what the heck i'll try doing a loop as I have been practicing these on phoenix but just not had the guts to try on the 500.

Well pulled off the first loop, bit messy but completed it, then for good measure decided to pull off a few more.

Just come into the office shaking, adrenaline was pumping but so happy I managed to nail it.

I know it's nothing compared to a lot of what others can do but it's made my day

Going out on lunch to run through the other 3 batts & get some more practice in

Nice one mate. I'm actually going to take my MCPx out this lunch to try a loop. I tried a long time ago ( before I could actually do any FFF ) and broke the boom, but I never knew you had to change pitch so I just had +ve pitch in all the way around lol

Looking forward to the day I dare to loop the TT360

Cheers Guys, think a bit more practice & I'll have them sorted fully, as you say Pete, when I started on phoenix I was doing the exactly the same until I had a little read up about Idle up & negative pitch, inverted hovering etc...

It certainly is Kel, just waiting to get the Fusion 50 airborne, think I may manage the maiden this weekend

I have come away from the RCHA Record attempt with renewed enthusiasm after seeing many of the pilots fly & am aiming to take part in the inverted hover attempt next year..

          Happy Dan

Cheers Guys, was a bit nervous upon trying it, but once done wondered what I had been worrying about, seemed to come good.

Well just ran the last 3 batts I had with me through & even more chuffed to bits, pulled off more loops, tried a few rolls (bit notchy but with more practice) & even attempted a rainbow & managed a couple of decent ones, plus my FFF is progressing.

Even managed a few lower inverted hovers without panicking & even managed to correct whilst inverted and even resisted throwing it right way up.

I'm loving flying even more now thanks to a great weekend @ RCHA Flyin & a great bunch of people on this forum .

Cheers Lee, I do hope to get confident enough to enter the inverted hovering next year ( & figure out the source of my slight vibes on the 500)

                        Cheers

You will be confident enough to do the inverted next year i guarantee it... loadsa time Whats up with the 500? Give us some symptons and see if we can help? Where the vibes showing? Is the vibe showing on the Horizontal or vertical fin? High freq or low? Havent got the blades too tight have you? Have you crashed it recently?

                            Cheers Lee, I'm hoping so.

                            Re the vibes :

Running standard Align BEC & Motor with DS520's all round on 6S 3000mah batteries & RJX FBL Head & BeastX

Had vibes after fitting FBL Head & beastx, tried with/without the tube in the head, used standard dampers & RJX dampers, recently swapped out the Feathering Shaft, Main Shaft & Installed KBDD Orange dampers to no avail.

It's like a whole heli shake, noticed though that it comes & goes as I apply collective, as going into hover it will seem fine, then as I apply more collective and hover higher thats when I get the vibes.

Have checked cyclic servo movement including the head & all seems good.

Did notice when attaching blades (Align 425D Black Carbon's) that the blades were very tight in the holders, they have slightly eased up but still even with no bolt in they are notchy to move.

                            No crashes (yet)

Hope I have covered everything & thanks again

Firstly what headspeed you running? ... if your running harder dampners (re the orange KBDD's) then they will prefer a higher headspeed. You'll probably find that when worn in a little more the vibes will ease up and then disappear. How many flights you got on it since the new dampners/fbl head? Did you grease the feathering shaft also? Also the main blades shouldnt be too tight in the holders.
