  • After advice on selling swapping my raptor .60

    Hi all

right im thinking shall i sell the 60 and get a trex 550 or 600 both electric.

i have a 500 fbl witch is used daily (weather permits) and enjoy it alot and can fly it at local felid.
the 60 however needs to be flown at the club and i can only really do that at weekends due to the flying rules.
but do i really need the 60 and do i really need sell it and get a new heli? oh when i started helis i wanted loads but now im not so sure i mean the helis fly pretymuch the same as one anuther ( well my fly style anyway) so i dout i would see much benefit from a real fancy heli but do no if i get a 550 / 600 i want it fbl...
oh what to do...... i love the look of the 60 in the air but im shittin it every minute its up there where as the 500 feels so conected to what im inputing.

well any replys welcome even though im not even sure what i want to do lol

Got the same dilemma, Have a trex 500, trex 600 Nitro & Just finished building a Outrage Fusion 50, I have yet to fly the 600 as it red the club & not always possible whereas the 500 get taken out every day on the field next to work.

Do I sell & replace with another eleccy, if so which

    So I watch with interest

There' really not much point in keeping it if you don't fly it or if you are not comfortable with it, right? You might a ell get a 600 leccy and fly it at your local field, (if suitable).

For reasons along similar line, I swapped by 600LE frame for a 500ESP and now I'm lovin' this to bits. Had issues initially but now the 500 flies rock steady and tracks well - this just gives me the opportunity to fly her more and less stressfully.

      Cheers,
      Jason

Well I've had a few and settled (for the time being) on a Trex 600. I got a second identical machine and converted it to FBL. The advantage of doing this is having two machines to fly (coz sooner or later I'll bash one) with only one set of spares.

Every now and again someone sells an airframe - so far I've bought 2 for about £140 each - so in effect I've got 4 Trex 600's - in reality I've got two flying and two complete sets of spares relatively cheaply.

Well, I had written a reply earlier but then my stupid broadband went down
and I lost the message before I could post it.

Basically, it is about two things; 1. If you really enjoy flying the Raptor and 2. If it's
practical given the places you fly etc.

For me I like having both nitro and electric and I love flying the .90 size helis.
Only one club I fly at has a generator for charging, anywhere else I fly I am
limited to how many Lipos I have. I really like the contrast between the 500
and a .90 nitro and by alternating between them I get plenty of flying time
even if I cannot recharge any Lipos. But that's what suits me.

Anyway, that's my two pennies worth.
