problems on the gyro

when connecting the battery on the honey bee king 2 the gyro flashes like mad for about 30 seconds then instead of going to a solid red light it start flashing on and off slowly and no response from the tx,

Ive done the normal turn on ie tx first then battery,

Any ideas as it is getting returned , i wouldnt care but the bloody things never worked since i got it and when the seller agreed to take it back it wont respond, I dont want him complaining saying its not working ,

Is the throttle trim all the way down? If not the electronics can fail to initialize on power up. This is one of Esky's quirks!

Try putting the tail trim (rudder) in the middle too.
