  • SO anyway...

    I went and got a JR2610...
Brought it home, and took my wife and daughter out for dinner.
I left the TX on a 0.3A charge. After 154 minutes, she was charged. The Trex450 was looking at me. So I swapped the AR7000 out and put in the RX that came with the TX.
Wired it the same as the AR7000 - seemed to use the same ports.
Setup the CCPM in around 4 minutes.
Then though, 'Ah, what the hell'. Took the heli into the garage (it's dark outside), and spun it up. Looked OK... Lets go! And up she went into a nice hover. Tail was twitching a bit, but it was in HH mode. Not sure how. Not sure which channel to set the EPAs for.
Hovered for a few minutes, and though my luck had run out, so landed... ready to fly tomorrow.
Ran to Laptop, and posted this.
VEry happy.. my first hovers in South Africa - Success!
    Wooo!!
    Very happy...

Yeah, I have Phoenix, so I can finally check out what all the fuss is about with the new version.

I've been trying to find out how to solve the very twitchy tail...

Go in to the menu and check your gear channel settings (if you have it all set up right this should be you gain channel if you use a heading hold* gyro, standard settings are +100 / -100 turn them both down to 70), also put in some rudder expo, to make the tail less sensitive around centre stick (about 15% to start with), and maybe adjust you rudder end points down a little to slow the piro rate down.

Edit (*yes you do its a 401)
-I don't crash, I just land with enthusiasm.

A couple of 600n's with stuff on them that makes them fly..
A 550 fbl with even more stuff on it to make it fly
And a Mars 470 which needs stuff putting on it to make it fly

          And a DX8 too

The Gods of Radio Controlled Helicopters are NOT smiling at me... I am so excited to fly out in the park tomorrow... so I decided to check my 4 lipos. Went to my flight box, and guess what...

MY LIPO CHARGER IS WITH MY TX!!

            Oh no!! Drat!!
I have 4 batteries that I am not sure of their levels... and no charger!!
            AGHH!!

Now, I have the Prodigy II charger, which can charge Lipos. Is that OK? Can I charge my batteries with that OK??

I'll have my CellPro 4s back in 6 weeks. Is it OK to use my non-balance (I assume a Prodigy II is not a balance charger?) on my batteries for now?

              Prodigy II
I use this ALL the time and balance every 5-10 charges no probs at all.
The pro peak is a great charger and will whip them lipo's into shape with ease!.

I sometimes go 10-20 charges without a balance and tbh there never out!

              Jim.

just get a meter and keep an eye on each cell voltage, if one wanders more than 100ma from the others then stop using them, chance are that if you have a CellPro then you are using Revos or Kokams which never go out anyway.

Another poblem though is that I don't have charge leads that can go frm my Prodigy II to my Lipos that have the connection that fits the CellPro. Are thee leads I can get?

Correct, I have 2 revos and 2 kokams - but I don't have charge leads for the ProPeak.

I wish! I wouldn't even know where to start... My Lipos have the little balance charge leads the fit the CellPro, and the Deans connector...

Nip to any hardware store and you'll be able to get some 4mm banana plugs, what connectors are n the packs? - else try the place you got the 2610 from.

...oh, deans may be a little harder to come by.

Yeah, the batteries have the deans (which plugs into my ESC on the Trex) and another balance charge lead, which I use to charge. Can you charge using the deans as well?
