Have a look here for some good deals on gyro and tail servos.

    Gyro & Tail Servo Deals

    Batteries would be 3 cell Lipo's, 2200mA.
    Try here:-

HobbyKing Online R/C Hobby Store : Turnigy 2200mAh 3S 25C Lipo Pack (DE Warehouse)

    Training undercarriage:-

    Midland Helicopters Ltd VarAccs_TrainingAids

No doubt lot's of other suggestions to come.

    Good Luck

or you can get your batteries from ebay so you dont have to wait over 2 weeks if ordering from hobbyking. unless you are in no rush.
the GT 9 gyro has good reviews so you can't go wrong with it and the servo combo

The link was for Hobby King's Germany warehouse so much quicker delivery and no duty to pay. Usually arrive in 3 days.

Could also try Giantcod.co.uk for lipo's.

        RCModelpart 2200 3S 25C Lipo pack

        Don't forget a lipo charger.

            Not too bad a buy.

Have a look here for comparison and maybe consider an offer.
Not a great deal of difference between V2 and Sport.
Good spec, loads of spares, batteries, carry case etc.
            Might be worth an offer.

Well, the King uses 275mm blades, and a 450 typically 325mm, so I suppose it's reasonably bigger.

Can't go wrong with a Sport or SEV2 to start out on. Please stay away from Esky stuff if you are thinking of getting a King!

Phew... take it the King's not coming back to you then?

I dont like to diss other brands, but Esky on the whole is nasty cheap. Had a whole world of pain with an Esky Belt CP when I started out, and I hear the smaller King is even worse!

Eventually moved on to an Align 450 and it was a total breath of fresh air in terms of design, quality and flying chracteristics. After the initial cost of getting a kit in the air, most parts actually worked out cheaper anyway.

Good luck with your 450 hunt.
