I'm trying to set a 450 se up for a friend its frustrating when your not used to the tx but I've just about got there any way the tail is controlled with a 401 and a 9650, I've set it up and it hovers rock solid but when u boot the power in the tail kicks out as if it running a crap servo that can't keep up, tonight i thought I'd try a few circuits but after the 1st turn it kicked out and generally felt unsafe so brought it in, my little trex is running a non digital servo albeit a quick one but never kicks out when pushed just wondering if its worth persevering with my mates 9650 or does this sound like its shot? and if so could it be du to running 6v through it because there's no step down voltage reg on the heli. Just to add the heli was bought second hand so not sure how old or wot if any abuse the servos been through.

According to the spec sheet 6V shouldn't be a problem mate.
Torque : 3.6kg/4.5kg @ 4.8v/6.0v

And the gyro is in HH mode yeah? Check for correct gain & Mechanical setup but yeah it sounds like it could be shot..Unless You're getting glitches which could also cause it to kick out
Turn the delay up on the 401 also....Cheers,
Gazza
