Hi, Could you please elaborate on why the teeth were stripped. I ask because I spooled up my Trex 500 for the first time today and it spun a bit and then made a clickety noise. I saw that all the teeth from my torque tube gear had been stripped off completely.
Just wondering if you could shed some more light on what sounds a fairly similar incident.

Tail blades clipping the ground unfortunately. You'll strip the gears most times this happens.

Na I'm OK about it, one of those things.

Looking forward to the video, hope the music is child friendly, my lad wants to see it.

              Maiden didn't go to plan.

Flew the TT360 first just to get my fingers working. Then on to the 600.

Range check, all good. Started to spool up, all looking good. Then a bit more, Heli spins round like mad, hit TH after it had spun 180 deg. Stripped 3 or 4 teeth off the front TT umbrella gear

After looking through my settings I suddenly realised what was wrong. I was in Rate mode on the gyro not HH mode. Lesson learned, always set up your switches in the same way on each heli... I have two HH modes on the TT360, one with higher gain, and a rate mode which I use to centre the servo before spooling up. On the 600 setup I only had one HH mode, and I'd used the wrong position.

Will now have to order some more gears, so maiden attempt number two will have to be next week
huh?! you got in trouble because of rate mode?? i can't see how the heli would spin 180degree so fast unless you applied throttle too much too fast? or if you had not mentioned rate mode, i would have said your gyro was reversed?!
              but sorry to hear....
at least that's the only damage and nothing else... hope you get the part quick!
              looking forward to the video!

                Sorry for your crash!
Rate mode shouldn't spin the heli, unless mechanical setup was way off. I'd double check this before next flight. I don't know about this particular machine, but generic setup would be to have tail pitch slider centred when tail servo is centred.
I setup my tail in rate mode, first I do what I said above then fly it in rate mode and see if there is any drift (on calm day). If there is any I pop the link and adjust to have zero drift in rate mode and redo the limits. Switch to HH, remove rate mode from the radio and fly.

I had quite similar mishap 3 weeks ago, I accdinetly switched FBL system on my mini protos to rate mode. This pretty much disables flybraless stabilization (very unstable and mushy heli). It was on the flight when I first tried to invert that heli, so at some point I've had a almost nobar heli flying inverted. Nothing happened, I held it, but it was really weird and a bit scary, I didn't know what was going on
