  • Difference between the sim and real life

I know people have posted before about people getting the shakes when they fly but my first flight today just took the p**s!! I work away for 6 weeks at a time and since the weekend was a washout I managed to get some flying today for the first time since I've been home. I'm wanting to practice my inverted for the flyin but on my first battery pack today all I can say is that extreme tail in was nailed and absolutely nothing else! My first "pack" on the sim I don't suffer this! I can get away with tick tocks and pie dishes no problem!! Funny what effect actually crashing your pride and joy has over a few meaningless computer sprites!!

I've got my tick tocks absolutely nailed on the sim but am having no success in real life. I was running at 90% throttle in a straight line curve, I take it they'd be easier in 100% because i just kept losing altitude.

Looks like rain now so I guess I'll have to try again tomorrow.

Also if there's any skookum users out there what do you think of the flight recording facility on the SK720? I find it fascinating playing back your flight. I was inverted for what seemed like forever but on the play back it was only 22 seconds!

Losing altitude in toc tocks isn't neccesarily down to power it's more likely your timing is a little out.

      More practice definitely required! Cheers!
