Make sure you read the small print if its only 10 mile cover if shes any further than 10 miles from home you end up paying mileage charge both ways. Also some of the cheap deals if the recovery operator fixes the car you may have to pay call out charge.

thats for the 1 star £18.30 i got my daughter the 2 star at £25.30 which does Nationwide Recovery

If you have opted and paid for Two Star cover it includes the same benefits as One
Star cover, with the addition of nationwide recovery to your home or original destination,
whichever is nearer.

All I am saying it check the small print I Work in RECOVERY and I have to tell the customer the cover they have wont get them home. Some dont cover if you have a RTA.
Some are rubbish.

Whats the best family policy to get chris?
Me the wife & 2 kids all with cars is it cheaper with a family policy?

Hope you never have to use any of them in the future, no more problems then, but get the cover for peace of mind, especially for the kids.
I've used AA and RAC Family for some years. Alternate each year and play one off against the other each year for best price. Found AA will match anything for last two renewals. £192 quoted this year, rang them and immediately dropped to £125 for family with get you home cover.
Read them carefully on the web. I think one or the other has changed form 5 to 4 people and only cover member in their car.

Good advice one thing with AA and Rac with you drive a 4x4 this can be pain as often its a none fix so you be waiting another 2 hours for a flat deck to turn up.
Have a look at Green flag as well.
A lot of bank accounts have cover as well .
With AA you have to pay for options they will take you to one desternation.
Also if you have caravan trailer etc some are better than others.
