  • Hang a Heli?

Is it OK to store a heli (R50) by hanging it in the garage? The 'hooks' would go around the blade grips, one on each side of the head.

Would ave thought it better to hang by the skids? Takes the pressure off the dampeners in the head then
        Cheers,

Yes, I've got a pair of luminous yellow grips you screw to a beam etc. then you can hang your heli up. Fast Lad sell them.

If its a Knight, I'd suggest a long rope, a skittish horse and a pistol shot to get things started.

If its a Raptor, then store it on your dining room table where it belongs.

I've got a perfect flying record - I've not left one up there yet!

The best way I've seen helis stored is hung on a wall, tail down. You get some of those large wall hooks from B&Q or somewhere, screw two of them into the wall so that they hook into the front landing skids.

make sure it doesn't get caught in the main blades
