  • Cleaning my exhaust

    I've noticed a few brown spots on my hatori pipe, I thought it was small patches of rust to begin with, but someone told me it's burnt fuel. How do I get it off without damaging the polished surface?

    Thanks, Dan

    You probably won't. I use solvol Autosol and polish the whole thing.

      Silvo (from the makers of Braso) works very well on the Muscle pipe range, however , as Dave said baked on fuel is hard to get off.
      In the past I have gentley scratched it off then a light sand with 1600 grit car sandpaper the polish back up.
      Basically
      Results = Effort + Time

      So ends todays Maths lesson lol

          The autosol will get it off without scratching or sanding. What fuel are you using? I used to get a bit of it with all of the main suppliers especially magnum.

            once you have used polish the metal will oxidise pretty quickly and you will be forever polishing it!

                      Less time polishing, more time flying. Less money spent on polish, more money spent on fuel.
