Lipo in a dsx9

Hey,

I use a Flightpower Lipo in my DX7se which i had in a JR 9X using a Spektrum Module, Worked perfectly in the 9X and is still going strong in the DX7.

I think that most Tx manufacturers don't advise the use of Lipo's in their Tx's unless they are designed to use them so it is generally down to you whether you want to void any warranty if the Tx is still in warranty.

from everything ive read, you should stay away from lipo's on the dsx9 ive heard of a few people who have had components fry, but then I dont know how many are actually using them.

I have been advised against in the past but thought if people had been using them succesfully then all good but obviously not.

i have a lipo that i was using in my dx7 and was looking to use it in my dsx9 but read the warning in manual (hence the post).. from the reactions that i see i think i will avoid.!!!lol anyone want a lipo for there dx7??!!! lol

I have used a lipo in my DX9 for ages, but have recently replaced it with a NiMH pack of 2200mah capacity, (higher than the 1500mah lipo)
I never had any issues other than it obviously drops off quicker than an NiMH so watch the voltage

I use the stock 1500Mah NiMh and I reckon I get at least 8hrs out of it, flying and simming. Not really felt the need to have a LiPo installed.
