I've just spent the weekend away from home visiting my Mum down in Cardiff. I've known that there's a flying club just a few miles from where she lives for a couple of years as it's right next to the golf course where my step-father plays. I took a heli and a plane down there sometime last year when I was visiting but nobody turned up so I didn't have a fly.
However, I went down there yesterday (Saturday) morning with my trusty old Sceadu in tow, and there were a few chaps there. I introduced myself, they checked my BMFA card, and said "yep, carry on, have a fly". I only had a couple of hours to spare so had a handfull of flights and really enjoyed the company. There was a chap called Dick with a big petrol plane and another chap with a delta plane and a Hawk 30 heli at first, followed by an all-electric plane flyer and a guy with a Wot-4 (Haven't seen one of them for years!).
Anyway, just in case any of them, or any other members of that club frequent this site, I would like to say a big 'thank you' for letting me have a blast around with my heli.
The site is located near the golf course just outside the village of Marshfield.
Cheers.
