Ok i have done a fair bit of this recently as I find it helpes with the nerves
NO 1 dont get carried away music instantly transformes you into a heli god and before you know it you will me out of your depth. so heres my top 10 bits of advice.

1 NO headphones you need to hear the motor / blades
2 pick a slow tune , prodgey are fab but you will crash
3 do it on the sim first
4 Don't try to hit every beat, sort of feel the flow and interprit it your way.
5 listen to the track in your car , house, jogging etc etc , you need to feel the music.
6 don't get carried away , if your doing to well stop
7 watch or don't watch Duncan Osbourne videos he is the master IMO he makes me almost cry every time I see him fly he's very very good.
8 Make sure you are ready to fly to music in other words you are at a level where you are comfortable in all orientations.
9 mix it up don't just piro, tumble flippy wotsit for 3 mins it will look pants.
10 Enjoy it the music can set your mood just don't get carried away !!!!!

I spent the weekend at ZONE and it was amazing how music was interprited , some fab pilots out there way better than I can ever hope to be .

      Hope this helps x Rachel

Good post, specially the try not to aim for every beat part... I keep doing this and it ends up making my flight look rougher than without music... Flying to music is my hardest challenge by far, even though I love music and flying they don't mix together well for me...

Take a look at the video's at the top of the home page, they were shot at zone. my flight wasn't a choreographed flight, i had flown to the tune before but that was just off the top of my head. it might give you a few ideas
