  • MKSDS95 Cyclic servo's for 450 class.

Just wanted to find out from those that have used them and more importantly, those that have crashed them. How tough are they?

I hear they are near impossible to strip gears but before I drop £135 on a set of 3 I want to know if they are any tougher then the Hitec 5065's that I already have. In most crashes I will strip at least 1 servo, usually 2 and at £10 a gearset this is getting expensive.

I have heard good things about these. Though they are not indestructable.

If you decide to go with them then drop Andy from wings wheels and rotors a line. He gives great service and a great price.

You were showing your 450 had MKS in your signature last week, nearly wrote to you to see how you were getting on with them. Scrapped them already?
They are lightening fast, especially if you use them with a Futaba HS receiver at 7ms response time and 6 volts. Rock solid, perfect centering and a pleasure to use.
Using with BeastX and if you use Tranny settings on BeastX you will need nimble fingers to keep up with them.

Gears come as main set with bearings £6.50 or complete set at £9.99

Not had the misfortune to crash yet so can't comment fully, damn, that's probably set me up for one now.

About time I got some sponsorship Andy, the amount of times I praise these on here.
Though you do always give me a good price.

I have been using one on the tail for a while now (450SEV2) and it's so fast it practically reads my mind! It is capable of actually
providing too much hold, if such a thing is possible. I have only used it on the tail but can imagine it would be the ultimate cyclic
servo for a 450. So far I think I have only crashed once, maybe twice while that servo has been on and no damage (but on the
tail it generally wouldn't get crunched anyway).

Hmm, so no one knows for sure then. I would only buy them if they were tougher than the Hitecs. MKS gears seem impossible to buy anywhere so doesn't make much sense. As for pricing, you can't beat Fast Lads at £135 for three!

Wings wheels and rotors had both types of gear sets in stock last week, Fast Lads had main gear set in last week.
Can't speak for either of them this week.

I'm about to strip my 450Pro down, if you want my 3 for £99 posted, Paypal gift then they are yours.
