The 6 channel will do the job as it is a full range receiver, but as mentioned, getting a 7000 would be better.

Can I ask why the 7 would be better than the 6?? I'm fairly new to Spektrum so any info I can pick up is always useful.

The AR 600 is full range but only has one set of antennas. That makes the signal path less robust in a carbon airframe with lots of metal around. So ideal for a balsa / foam / glassfibre aircraft, but perhaps not for a carbon/alloy heli at range as you may get some masking and potential signal loss.

That said, I've seen them on 50-size helis.

Thanks for the explanation and I can see the logic behind that. I'm using a 600 at present in my 450 but then again I'm only just about to progress to circuits so the range/shadow scenario shouldn't be an issue yet. One thing I will say tho is that I have my long aerial hanging under the back of the heli straight down and the short one poking out the side, trying to use the 2 axis' to best effect.

there probably wont be a problem on a 450 because your not going to be flying very far away!
where as i 600e can go rather high and far away.

Fair do's. Least I know I'm relatively safe now.

yeah, fly those little 450s on a parkflyer rx like a AR6100 no worries. The AR600 should be superior imho.

cool, got a couple of those kicking round too, so if ( or should that be when ) I get another that's one less thing to buy.
