  • Mcpx or flasher 250

As some of you will know, I have had to sell some bits, as can't afford the 500 at the moment, I can only keep a small heli in the air and I mean small lol, I was looking at a few options to stick with rc flight whilst my pockets are emptyier lol

Want your opinions on a few options here

    Flasher 250
    Blade mcpx
Going fixed wing for a while with parkzone extra 300

    Look forward to your replies

I think you would probably get more use out of the mcpx, but the Flasher is a nice heli - a friend of mine got one when Wings Wheels & Rotors were knocking them out for £200 rtf. He finds it quite a challenge to fly, but enjoys it. Spares are quite cheap but I don't think they are as cheap as the mcpx and of course they are easier to break than the mcpx; if it were me in your situation I would base my choice on what I could afford to maintain.
Hope this helps you to decide,

I'd go for the mcpx kev, you know how hard they have hit the deck and people have just picked them back up again

I would have to second Shane on this one Kev. It's NOT about the model. It's the maintenance and crash aftermath, that you'd have to be looking into. The mCPx is a great little bugger. It will see you through mate...

The 250's just need more attention and maintenance mate...

i got a parkzone t-28 and love it can take it most places with me and fly for 10mins on the 3s 2200 i got for it.not to bad in the wind either if you can land them ok its gonna keep you in the air for a longer time than a heli as you will probly getaway with ditching a plane in the long grass as a heli would probly cost money crashed anywhere. all my ipinion, as stated the 250 will cost more in parts than a mcpx i think

I am still learning with the heli's but I've got a T-rex 250, An MCPX and a Parkzone Extra 300 and I love them all but i must admit since ive had the MCPX the 250 has only been in the air twice.
I usually go out and fly the Extra then as soon as the wind drops enough out comes the MCPX until the lights gone, I absolutely love flying it.

ooooo, so you have the 3 I'm looking at, which do you prefer then, between the mcpx and the extra 300

It all depends what your looking for really, For an almost ready to fly fixed wing the Extra 300 is pretty dam awesome on full throttle it covers ground like nobody's business but it will also fly nice and slow if you want it to, and will do pretty much what you want it to do 3D wise,

The MCPX on the other hand has been a god send to me in the steep learning curve of 3D heli flying, Before i bought it i could hover and do basic circuits, but after only owning it for a few weeks i am now doing loops, flips and rolls and next time out im going to give invert hover a go.
The best bit about the MCPX is if you plant it into the ground even at full head speed on idle up (been there and wearing the t-shirt lol) all you do is pick it up prob just re-align the main gear and its up again for another go

In all honesty if you can afford it I would get both , I certainly have no intentions of getting rid of either
