hi there,iv got a algin speed control that i got with the trex,and on the cable that goes from the speed control to the reciever there is a little ring that it is rapped round,im asuming its some sort of magnet,could someone tell me what it does and is it ment to be in a said position,ie near the motor near the resiever of somewere else

Its a ferrite ring,

its there to stop any interferrance rom the motor and any other outside nastys,

Its still not entirely fail safe only way to stop glitches is to go spektrum 2.4ghz radio system

It doesnt matter really,mine is right next to the motor as the cable runs past it..

Its just an attempt to help prevent RF noise from the ESC getting to the Rx
