  • To Sell Or Not To Sell?

    OK so here's my problem!

I want to get a nitro 50 (still not totally decided between 600 and 3D) It's gonna cost me the best part of a grand to get everything I want, which at the moment I don't have but at the rate my new house is taking my money I think it might take me 6 months or more to get all the money I need

So the question is should I sell my 600e airframe and batteries , keep the electrics and put them in a nitro or just stick it out keep the 600e and wait until I can afford to get the nitro 50

Whats really prompted this is the fact I don't feel I'm progressing fast enough because I'm not getting the stick time with the electrics because of the time to re-charge.

Obviously I could get some more batteries but I think I would like to get an IC

    Thanks

get 3 batteries and you should get a decent amount of stick time. I got 3 packs for mine, and am going to probably get a knight 3d in the next few months and build it up over time as and when i can afford to. Also, get Phoenix if you dont already have it

      mmmm,thats a hard one man,

jamiem is right go get some more batterys (but the money you spend on batterys you could put towards knight3d.

the knight 3d is a awsome heli mini synergy as i call em.(behaves like one away.lol.

(id sell some thinking else apart form ya leccy.
your looking about 700/800 to build a knight3d.(if you shop around).phill for ya servos.(no-one can beat him on price).
keep ya leccy as back up..

im shure if you hunt around you pick up most the parts you need to build very cheeply.

I am also thinking about a 'knight'. That will not be until I have a 450 SE v2. Then I will be debating with myself, which 'knight'. Worse, I will need to get a 7 channel, and flight box type goodies. It's all money!!!!!!!!!

          Thanks guys

Yeah I have Phoenix and love it! But no matter how good it is, it's not a patch on the real thing.

I always find I worry about my batteries when I fly the 600 and the short flight times are a killer for stick time! I worry if I bin it then I will likely take out the battery too which makes me nervous about flying it I was hoping with a nitro if I did bin it the engine would survive unless it was really bad I was hoping that I wouldn't feel as nervous flying a nitro.

I suppose it's just a mental blockage that I need to get over! I fly really well on the SIM but just can't put it into practice.

i run impact protection pads wrappred around my batteries (from Aurorra), and after a VERY bad crash the other day (the tail drive let go), the battery was fine! dont worry about them, they are robust buggers! Nitro will ultimatley be better for learning on, but you also have to learn to setup and tune the engine, which in itself can be problematic for learners.

The thing to remember about the electric is that you dont have to setup any engine, just switch on and fly, whereas with nitro you have to tune the engine, and if done wrongly, it could cut out mid-flight. Id keep the leccy and save for a nitro
