Well my N5 has turned up!!!!!!

Had a phone call this evening off Adieuk who lives in the next village and asked if I could help him move his uncles piano. Of course I said yes and he picked me up and
we set off to his "uncles" house a couple of miles up the road.

Just before we got there we passed some of the fields that I thought my heli might be in and the farmers had started harvesting and I said we might find it soon! We arrived at the farm greeted by 4 massive dogs and were told not to get out which I'm glad we didnt, but I thought it was strange that Adie and his wife Karen didn't know that the dogs were dangerous but maybe they don't visit too often.

As the lady came to the car she asked if we had come to pick the helicopter up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well my face must have been a picture and I could hardly contain myself
and may have sworn at Adie and karen but after the amazing weekend at the RCHA flyin and taking part in the world record attempt what a way to end the last few days.

Its in pretty good knick it must have gone tail in first as the boom etc are wrecked but the main frame and engine and pipe are undamaged, just rusted up so will need to clean them up. I think the tail servo will need new gears but not checked yet as only just got back 1/2 hour ago.

So thanks to Adie and Karen you are true friends and had me taken in until the lady mentioned the heli!!

how ****ing cool is that check ur lipo dude, coz thats some discharge, hate to see u loose it all due to the lipo

How far from the flying field was the N5 found. Just curious how far these machines can travel. Glad to hear you've got it back..

Cheers guys, the lipo wasnt with the heli but must have been on it cos the vbar still had power and kept the heli level.

Hi Mike it travelled about 3kms but only had 1/2 tank plus header tank.
