Sorry to go off topic but this seems to happen more often than I'd like to hear.. theres a few simular posts on here recently
Why would a model have a mind of its own? I couldnt even says its just one brand.. theres two seperate radio users just on this thread its happened too? If it happens.. wouldn't it be a good Idea to just switch off the radio and hope the failsafe works and bring it down?

Pretty sure my 450Pro, mentioned earlier in thread, was due to using an Orange Futaba compatible receiver.
Fail safe did not kick in. I'm 90% sure it was set but has to be done on receiver with similar button pressing to HS setup for receiver so may have been mixed up or changed when changing HS settings. Only checked when first setup but changed HS settings a number of times.
Expensive lesson. Only original Futaba receivers in use from now on.

well we went out again today but nothing field after field, but earlier today mark
had been knocking on peoples doors in which the direction we thought it had gone,
and one person said they did see it which would have been about 1 1/2 miles away from the field,
and said it would have been approx 100ft up and told us the direction the heli was heading
so more fields we went to look but nothing so we think it went even further away from us
we are going to have another look tomorrow but with a camera on a heli and see if we can spot it from the air.
i will let you know how we get on tomorrow fingers crossed

thanks mick for your phone call today mate mark and dave was looking earlier today and when i got there they was still out
looking so i did some work down the club and mark dave and shane helped when they got back,
didnt want to drag you out from where you live we went for another look last minute
but we will be there at 11:00 tomorrow starting the search again

Aide, As the phone call earlier mate I recon its crossed the river walk the banks Dunham side towards N/S cliffton Ask the guys fishing because its going to of gone some distance!

It had enough fuel to fly for 5 mins at least maybe more if it was not going flat out.

Rain shouldn't hurt it, after a good drying off you should be able to recover it all nicely.

You need someone wqith a paramotor or microlight (unless it went north of lincoln into scampton danger area). Tomorrows a nice enough day but it will rain a lot next week.

we went to see if we could find it today flown over a few fields but no sign of the heli
so hopefully someone finds it someday and hands it in
