  • Tail wag cant seems to cure it!!!!

I have an align 700e f3c model running the 700mx 470 motor with the cc120 esc along with align 780 gyro and for some reason i just cant seems to sure the tail wag its like a slow constant wag its not as bag as to how is was my settings are set up in goc mode on the cc esc

gov gain is at 6 in the cc i had it higher but the wag was worse so i drop it this low and it seems to be a bit better can i should i go lower.

my gov gain in the tx is set at 35 any higher the was gets faster any lower its slower and sloppy.

my head spead in normal is 1800 st1 1900 and st2 2000 the head speed seems fine so i dont think its that.
mechanical set up is perfect everything 90 and no sub trims tail end points are set correct and the tail is centered correctly

So if there is anyone that has the f3c model or anyone that can help that would be great thank u

Get a lump hammer on the gp780 and put a spartan on instead,my mate had exactly the same with his f3c rex 700,he never used a hammer,he used a screwdriver

It's a long shot but disconnect all the linkages and check the rod, bell cranks, slider etc all move freely, if there’s any resistance/stiffness in the mechanism this could cause the slow wag you describe.

ok i have just fix the problem, go on have a guess!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes it was the gyro(780) so i swap it with the 750 and she is now rock solid no was and stops are great hard and nice, but its funny because on my 700n fb i have the 780 on it ans its working great so i dont know how come its not on the 700e or maybe its just a bad gyro all together

There has been loads of posts about the 780 being crap! The best fix is definately a big hammer for it and a better gyro on the heli

thats the answer, read Hellraisers thread on the 780 he had it on an X50 that wouldnt stop wagging, then tried a 750 which improved slightly, he ended up with a Spartan and its been spot on since

The 750 is the easy fix and cheap second hand too - bypassing the 780 is the only way to go as you have found out.
