  • Z-Power Brushless Motors for TT Mini Titan?

    Hi

Being a bit of a geek, I can't resist twiddling with stuff. In this instance, I'd like to replace the stock motor in my Mini Titan with a Z-Power Z10A 3300Kv. Is it possible to get these in the UK anywhere - if not, where's the best place to buy?

Or failing that, is there another motor that the world agrees is a good replacement?

    Cheers

The align 430XL will actually out perfrom the Z10A. So I would use that as it is cheap. If you want more than that then there is the Medusa motors 28-40-3400 or the NEU 1107-2Y.

I put a Z10a 3000 in my one of my V2 Trex's, although the lower KV one it was no where near the Align XL on power.

I have the Z30a 1100 in my 600 though and it walks all over the Alihn 600XL - would recommend it to anyone.

I've got a Z10A in my Mini Titan. On 3s it's nothing to write home about, but on 4s with a 10 or 11 tooth pinion the power is outrageous and it hardly even gets warm. You have to be carefull what ESC you use as some have problems coping with 50,000rpm on a 6 pole motor.

What sort of run times are you getting and what pack size on the 4 cell setups?

Agree the Z10 is good on 4S, flights are around 7 mins of strong 3D on around 1800mah.

I am using 4s 2100 Prolites in mine and get about 6.5 minutes of "strong" flying at 3000rpm for about 1650mAh recharge. You can get a 2200 extreme pack in the Mini T, but it's heavier and bulkier, so you have to lower the battery tray by modifying the rear supports. Not worth the effort in my view as the Prolites seem to be well up to the job.

Where did you get it from mate?

Edit...Having done a google and had a peek at Ash's Trextuning review would I be right in saying that the Century 600plus is the same motor?

The Century 600+, Thunder Tiger OBL 43/11-30H and the red canned Z30 are all the basically the same motor. The Z30A is an improved version using slightly different materials that give cooler running, especially in high rpm setups. There is some disagreement among some retailers as to whether the "A" version really is any different, but my experience is that they are noticably better when pushed hard. I've got several of these motors and they're all excellent.

I'm shortly going to be placing an order for some of the A versions. I'm happy to expand the order to accomodate anyone else who wants one so we can save on the postage and customs charges. The Z10A will be about £47, the Z30A will be about £73 and the Z50 for the big stuff will be about £82. Anyone interested PM me some details.
