For the longest time I resisted getting anything electric bigger than the 450 but I recently got a 500 and just love it. For me, the 'ouch factor'
of the bigger Lipos is just too great. Even the 6s 2650 packs are 3 times the price of the packs for the 450 and so much bigger and heavier.
The 500 has really surprised me at how 'big' it flies considering it only weighs 2kg rtf.

When I started I had 8 in six months ... Could not do with all the maintenence on them so now just keep 2 running and some spare airframes for the knight .... Might add an elec 50 size tho just for something to sling in the boot instead of taking all the stuff I have to to fly nitro
