I think that should be the wot-4 foam e. +1 for that .but if you can take them up on a buddy lead it will help no end.

Light, floats and is forgiving! It also uses standard 3s lipos and has good flight times.

Buddy lead would be great but at the moment I have a DX8 and other than that I'm onto the Eflite radio that came with my Blade SR and it doesn't look to buddy up. I was thinking of getting a DX6i or something like that to buddy with (also as a spare incase the DX8 has to go in again). Any thoughts are appreciated.

the dx6i will be perfect .If you do go for the wot-4 foam E you can tame the throttle and the throws or put lots of expo on the elevator and ailerons .

I have the Wot 4 foam e and love it. If you want to go smaller, the Nine eagles are good, but not if there is a breath of wind.

Parkzone micro j3 cub. You can walk faster than it flies, all parts available, landing gear installed for ground take offs and landings. Very forgiving little plane
No, no. I meant to do that.

i am surprised no one's mentioned HOBBYZONE'S SUPER CUB LP! probably the best selling trainer plane to date.
just dont use its built in ACT mode.
or go for the mini supercub.
it's Z Foam so it's easy to fix.
on rcgroups, there's a thread on it with probably 10,000 posts (on part 4 now as they have had to cut each thread into section because it was getting too long)

Just to let you know the boys are having fun with the Hobbyzone Champ which I decided to get. I'm amazed at how light it is and hence how slow you can fly it. It flies nicely in zero wind but is easily knocked around by the slightest breeze although that's quite fun for keeping you on your toes on what is otherwise a really easy model to fly.

Got to say I find it quite fun myself.

Thanks for all the advice, hopefully someone else will find this useful

Im pretty sure you can buddy up the dx8 and the lp5dsm style transmitter that came with the blade sr.

Got one myself with about 15 packs through it.... goes like stink, great fun and easy to fly/land, but I find you need a reasonable amount of space to wring it out. Probably not the best choice for confined area.
