  • Anyone explain mixing on the DX7

I been hunting around trying to find a good easily understandable explaination of the DX7 mixing menu and why it would be used with some examples, but so far haven't really found any.

Can anyone point me in the direction of an article (or if one of you clever people fancies explaining), and before any smart alec points me to google, i'm currently trawling through various searches

    Many thanks

    Daz.

I'm not able to explain how it works. But some guys at the club have set a mix on mine so I can use the gear channel as gyro and engine cut. Also I have got a mix on the governor so it come on mid stick in normal, but it's not quite as I would like so I will be following this thread to gain more of an understanding.

      it's beyond logic
Sometimes I wonder whether the programming in the DX7 is intentionally crippled so that they could make more money with super-expensive JR radios for the high end...

      That said:
For example, throttle cut only works with programmable mix 2 since it's the only one that allows the GEAR switch.

You set mixing "throttle to throttle"
      on the positive side -100
      on the negative side -100
and assign it to the GEAR switch.

That means, whatever the throttle value, the mix will add the opposite and cancel it.
Then use the offset parameter to move the throttle barrel to fully closed position.

That's almost logical. Except it doesn't work in throttle hold mode, where you'd need it most for autos
