  • Align 2 in 1 voltage regulator

I just rang Skyline to order an Align 2 in 1 voltage reg/glow starter and was told to wait a couple of weeks because Align are investigating issues with interference when using 35mhz.

    Has anybody noticed any problems??

Hmmm interesting one that,,,i assume Spektrum will not be affected by it

I am using the standard 6A Align reg on both my Nitro Rexs and they are fine, someone at our field has the 2 in 1 and uses 35mhz and his seems OK

Yeah i spoke to bobj about this on sunday and he was saying the same thing.
Now after speaking to many people that i know thats using 35mhz and have this 2 in 1 and there having no problems.

I think its the way its mounted and iv seen some people fit them way to close to the RX or even on top of the RX bec of lack of space.

Used to be the same with a ESC and its always been said to fix it as far away from the RX to stop any kind of interference.

Apparently 2.4 is fine and the normal reg is also ok. Just the 2 in 1 that's a the prob.
He said (not sure if it was Bob J. or not) that the issue is with certain RX's but I didn't ask which.

It could apparently be isolated to just the G3 recievers used with the 14MZ Tx's etc.

              Cheers,

Well I'm glad to here not everybody's having problems, but it is a bit odd how I was gonna order one, and he warned me not to for a while.

I must add I'm not complaining. It's a pleasant surprise to get some honest advice from a retailer.

I spoke with Bob about it. The problem is 'suspected' at this point and being investigated. It was found due to Jason Krausse havin a problem with his machines when he came over for 3D Masters. Regulators were swapped out and problem went away. Obviously in USA he runs 72mhz so never had an issue.

Talking to J Krause Thurs afternoon and he mentioned this with 35mhz but said that there have been no problems with the spektrum and also that this 2 in 1 package was not tested with 35mhz but on 70mhz. But apparently is being lloked into now as he had an issue with a glitch test flying since arriving in the UK.

Well the funny thing is, iv noticed that a lot of people thats been having these glitches are flying TREX nitros eg: carbon and G10 frames.
I have a raptor 50 and i have a 2 in 1 and its been great no problem at all, so maybe having a carbon of G10 frames are gonna give you glitches but if you run pcm it will hide these but then you go and stick a 2 in 1 and the pcm is getting a big hit from both and it has to go to fail safe.

                              Just my thoughts
