  • You know you've had a heavy landing when...

...the motor case from your Trex 500 looks like this!

Anyone going to the RC Hotel? Be warned, the ground is unforgiving

On the plus side, a great week has been had and the loss of orientation was attempting an inverted loop on the last day

With that much damage I don't hold out much hope for the rest.

Take it it's all staying in Corfu in the bin.

If thats what the motor can looks like the rest of the heli must look a right mess.

If that's what the motor looks like, sounds like there are no parts larger than a matchstick left over from the rest of the heli. Did you need a dustpan and brush to collect it up?

I have to say it did go in a little hard but Lee had a further flight (no not with that one ) so the holiday didn't end on a crash
Was a great time again with good friends

Surprisingly, the rest of the Heli isn't too bad. The skids & skid bows, canopy, lipo and blades are toast as the Heli landed on it's skids but nose first. The rear end has escaped almost unscathed bar the boom having a slight bend. The motor even seems fine except for needing new bearings. However, I'm sure the spares list will grow as I re-build it as it always seems to
Mostly gutted about the lipo (15 cycles) and the canopy really. I'll have to tot it all up and see what it comes to. Actually, maybe not - I'll never fly again if I do that :-o
                      Cheers, Lee.
