OK that's what I thought. Couldn't see any reason why you shouldn't use them. In fact you could argue it's better for the heatsink as it blocks less of it and hold heat less than velcro.

What do you need the Pro BEC for if using BeastX.
I don't have anything special on my 550 FBL 3G other than standard Align ESC.
          Just wondering why.
          Cheers

Malcom, there is a post on here about the internal BEC's on ESC's and how they cannot handle the draw from our digi servos (about 3 amps per digi servo, x4 digi servos is around 12amp draw and the internal BEC on the align 70 amp is rated a 3/5 amps ), so a seperate BEC is needed or you might burn out the BEC on the Align ESC, which a lot of people have had problems with the esc going up in flames.

Seems some of the ESC makers are now not going to honour the warranty if the internal Bec shows signs of being blown, they will only offer a 50% reduction in a replacement.

I am going to buy the CC pro bec from fastlads for £35, rather spend the extra and save a £600 heli from going in.

              Thanks for that.
I've seen the pics on Fast Lad, which channels do the 2 wires go to on the receiver, 6 out of the 7 on mine are used, do I have to put a 'Y' lead in?

You can just put it into the spare Rx port as the power bus is common to all 7 ports so it doesn't matter which one you use.

You could also remove the +ve and -ve wires from the speed controller and used that for the second connector.
