holographic stickers on blades

after seeing Laurence flying his logo at Slough which had holographic stickers on his blades i have been in two minds about them as to weather or not they would be off putting , agree they do look good in the air when the sun hits them
im just intrested if any one els has tryed them and how did you get on with them did you find them off putting or not

Nope, i think they look cool. The only issue I found is when you start trimming the grass. You can peel up one of the edges and then the heli starts to make some real weird noises!

As above they can be marked by grass beyond repair but that's only if you're really impersonating a lawn mower...

For me they don't do anything for orientation (bad or good) and unless the sun is shining you wouldn't really know you had them on, having edges light up on both sides in the sun is good for low down 3D sometimes.

3 or 4 times now i have gone to buy them and decided not to as i have said above was unsure how i will take to them i may try them on the T600 first, while flying i often switch my view from pod to blades depending on what move / orientation im in

I got the small ones just on the tip, it makes the disc stand out a lot better !

ive got some ex- lawrence Gough blades on my 600 with stickers on the tips, i think it makes the disc show up a lot more in the sun, lawrences look cool i think

When I saw the title of this thread I was going to reply saying how good Laurence Gough's Logo looked at Slough!! There's no need now.

I am saving up the tracking stickers that come with new blades until I have enough for the entire length of the blades. At the rate I have been crashing lately, it won't be long before I am there.

And ahahahahaha at saving up those little ones, I used to add them to the tips of my 450 blades .

I do like them.. I prefer the Align 1.5x1inch ones that come with 50+ size blades that goes by the tip.. but not the ones that cover over 50% of the blade.. I'm still waiting for these to come back on stock Reflective Main Blade Tip Stickers 60-90 Size SAB0206090 and they shouldnt peel as it covers the leading edge..

I did by a sheet of holo tape 99p but they seem to come thin and not like the Align offerings and peel off.. one time I was chasing bearing problems for two weeks until I realised it was the edge of the peeling sticker doing it lol!

Yeah it's not cheap material, but I can sell you some in A4 sized sheets if you like? I have my own vinyl cutter as a side line business and so I have some on a roll for makign my own holo stickers. I can also cut specific text, shapes and pictures in the stuff as well on the cutter.

I have a large custom cut piece on each of my 550E Edge blade ends and am going to redo 600 size ones as I misplaced the template I made.

I have the attached types in my possession.

The last one is more silver until the light shines on it then it changes colour depending on angle is viewed at, I have made paddle covers using the glitter type which are on a friends 600N and have stayed in place.

I can send out A4 sized sheets for £3 each posted, could mix n match of course and/or cut specific requests.

You & me both. I actually find they DO help as it gives a real good indication to the disc position i:e how knife edge i'm getting it whilst trying hurricanes & if i'm getting good positioning with piro flips. On a good clear sunny day they just look so dam good

Yeah, I guess the paper is hard to manufacturer hence the price, I would hate to buy a roll lol..
