Ripmax have finally got back to me after having my engine for a nearly a month about this problem http://www.rcheliaddict.co.uk/engine...any-ideas.html

The reponse on my voicemail as I didnt get the call intime was... "the rear bearing was knackered, replaced it under warranty and its now sorted"...

WTF.. can a rear bearing cause an engine to run stupidly hot?????? Hes not posting it till monday so hopefully I will call up before they send it!!

Thats a stupidly long time to replace a couple of bearings Eddie . But shot bearings can cause tuning issues so you could get an overheating problem mate . Rob .

Also, I can tell if its a knackered rear from use ;-) but Its was a brand new engine less than 1/2 tank idling through it and had less than 1min air time!.. The overheating in 5 mins from cold, by just idling as in my other thread as in OP!!

Just read the other thread Eddie . Didnt realise it was brand new thats not right , i think if its not right on return id be looking for a refund mate as it seems youve covered pretty much everything . The most common one i've seen is the blocked carb but youve checked that anyway . Just hope you get it sorted mate . Rob .

A mate down the club sent his new RX back as he had lost signal with it and put his new plane in, ripmax have told him now that they have lost it, and it cannot be found, end of story........................

Oh No.. not the dreaded curse of Ripmax...

I hope to speak to them before its gets sent back to me..
