As others have said I wish I had not bothered with the micros ( MCX MSR ) and also not bothered with the rex 250's, knowing what I know I wish I had started with the 500 this has got to be one of the best helis out there, everything else I'm happy with.

      • I'd move country so I'd get more than 3 months flyable weather
      • I'd not buy anything walkera
My best move was getting and using a sim from day one.

I should have stayed away from helis and taken up home brewing instead

Wish i'd carried on flying the first time round , Back when i thought my concept 30 was a beast , aslo maybe i should have bought a 500 sooner as i hold back a little with the 600 though fear of the repair bill's but the 500 takes everything i can throw at it and still beg's for more . just bought a 250 as a summer toy so that will get even more abuse

Flew on the sim BEFORE buying a heli.

              Regular sim time.

Stuck to the same model, instead of wanting to try everything available (all part of the fun though).

Bought a 700 instead of dicking around having a top spec 50. You just cant compare a 50 to a 90.

A trex 450 and a dx7 then onto a trex 500 - wouldnt have wasted my time with a belt cp piece of cr#p

With Hindsight i shoudn't have bought that damn Twister CPv2 although it did teach me to hover which when i bought my First nitro (raptor) it was easy enough to transition over to hovering that

Quite happy with the fleet that I have at the moment though!

Nope, wouldn't change a thing. Despite my 1st being a Ripmax Sabre (Walkera#4 mk1) i wouldn't change. Yes there were better FP heli's around but the Sabre was breaking my ££ limit at the time. The Sabre & FMS taught me the basics from nose in to circuits but i didn't really start flying properly untill i got my Trex 450S. I still have all my heli's aswell as i'm not one for buying then wanting the latest & greatest 2 min later which imo makes the hobby far more expensive than it actually is.

I've just read other replies & i wouldn't have got a 450 or anything bigger than a FP as the repair cost when learning would have instantly put an end to the hobby for me. Besides spares for a Sabre were ridiculously cheap if you ordered from www.besthobbysite.com
