Decent Portable Generator for Field-Charging

Does anybody know of a decent portable generator suitable for field charging? Preferably four-stroke.

There's a Wolf one on Amazon for £120 that looks upto the job. Only thing is, it weighs 25kg!

Surely there must be smaller, lighter, more compact models at around the same price. But I'll be damned if I can find 'em!

Get a decent leisure battery and stick it in the boot, my 70amp one last for around 4 months plus before recharging and then it's only a top up.

I get 6 x charges(5000mah lipo's) off a 100 amp leisure....is your 70 made by Carlsberg?

Kipor are hit and miss,i have the clarke one and its crap also.....honda next for me should of listened to my mate and got one from the off!

That's not going to last long enough to run a battery charger

A 70A battery might be good for 3s packs

Pretty much useless if your charging 6s 5000 packs

My mate got a Honda engined generator , I try and find a link
I think you will struggle to find a new one for less than £500

I wouldn't waste my time with anything less TBH

plus you may need to consider noise, my fellow club members would moan at the constant drone of a genie yet are okay with nitro (figure that one out )

The honda's are the mutts nuts and very quiet too, but they aint cheap

Whats wrong with using your car?

I charge 2x6s 5000's in 35 mins as the guys see me do all the time and this makes no difference to my car or cause any issues and I do it most times at the field.
