  • Strange mental block.....

Alright chaps, Got a bit of a strange one here,I have been flying nearly 2 years now and can still not do a straight forward circuit.I can do figure 8s, aileron and elevator tick tocks, funnels, fly inverted cm's from the ground and even having a go at piro flips at the mo. None of this bothers me and I just go for it,but ask me to do a circuit and it all goes to pot and he head just blanks.
Every one I fly with thinks its odd how I can fly like I do but can't do this simple task.(and I'm sick of Lee(made2fade)getting on me case to do one.)
Does anyone else suffer mental blocks or is it just me being stupid.Any one got any advise to help beat this phobia of circuits.

    Cheers in advance Davey

No tips mate sorry, surely lee must have tips for you, as his circuits with his 700 are huge and quick, he must have a pointer or 2

Sounds like your bordering on being a stick banger ... And dont take this the wrong way as its not intended as an offence .. I have seen alot of people that come into the hobby and start doing what in there eyes is 3d and then struggle with the basics ... My advice is practice on the sim and also STOP the other stuff till you cracked it ...Flying is about repetition and muscle memory , because your flying the way you do its ok twiddling the sticks but actually controlling them smoothly is hard as well ... Now you can understand why F3C is hard

I think Mike is correct. If you can't do something the only way of getting round it is to practice it and face it.

              >> Sounds like your bordering on being a stick banger

              Hehehe test yourself:
Can you hover a slow piro? Not piro flip. Just piro. The heli sits there and slowly turns.

If not: Forget about 3D etc and LEARN it. It's more difficult than it sounds. Maybe it'll take a couple of weeks. Don't give up.
With that under your belt, you'll make progress with circles quickly.
