The point of the slot is that it can't get stuck. Here's a couple of generic pictures:

I know that Steve But as mentioned, I wont get the "sucking wall" problem as im using a fuel magnet and it might sit on the slope and then get an opposite problem to the one i'm trying to solve, lol!

Well.. The Align 4mm tubing didnt work.. it was still quite stiff despite the thinner wall diameter...

Tried http://www.fast-lad.co.uk/store/thin...92-p-4552.html thinner wall clunk line 1mm wall dia with ID 2mm and I finally got it to work.. Using this line cut to approx 43mm on the Velo90. I find the OMI floats in the middle when the tank is full but when the tank has 10% left, the OMI finally touches the tank wall when inverted! Problem solved! Yipee!!

        Kel.. just PM'd you ;-)

        Cheers for responses guys

Flew my velo today with hayes clunk line and a omi fuel magnet, until it was about 10mm left in the tank and had no problems what so ever, was flips, inverted, kaos, inverted backward circuits it just never missed a beat, seems to me a problem thats been created.

No not you created a problem, but it works for me well and ive had no problem with the clunk line or read anywhere else about the problem, have you been having your engine cut out inverted due to this problem? or any engine problems due to the clunk line?

Fortunately Ross, you didnt go down the MOAS route and just used the OMI and Hayes line.. different to either one supplied in the kit!.. Kel (Millerman) has the same problems.. it was not right.. the MOAS is where it all started from. It just sat in the middle with no movement and because it stemed from that, of course your cautious about it being right.. instead of starving it of fuel when theres loads in the tank! As previously posted, even when changed to the OMI, with the standard/alternative lines still didnt work for me (Didnt try hayes thus this Thread!).. I would gladly put the original lines/clunks in to take photos to let you see exactly what the problem was!!

                  Also to let you know
Kel (Millerman) ran a "Clunk weight" test thread because of this problem
Lucas Invernizzi (Sorry If I spelt his surname wrong) The owner of Lynx Heli Products mailed, about the them knowing the clunk problem on the Velo90 with the MOAS and suggested the £8 line at the time
Then I got a email from Tareq "The Machine" saying dont use the MOAS as it never works and go with the OMI

So theres supporting evidence from a world top pilot and a owner of a company and another top pilot saying they had the same problems...

I may be different to all you guys as i never run my tank below 1/4 anyway, my concentration doesnt last that long and 5-6 mins of flying is enough for me, i did turn my velo upside down yesturday and my clunk doesnt touch the bottom (at the furthest away position) by about half an inch, but as i said it hasnt missed a beat yet.
By looking at your options i would guess are, dont run the tank below 1/4 empty or use a header tank.
Looking at you signiture i see it says yet to be maidened (on the velo) hope the clunk is not the problem or are there other problems, i flew mine sat and sun and even though i wouldnt buy another outrage because of recent issues and there custumer services, i must say the velo 90 is sweet.

I need to change my Sig.. Its been maiden as such.. but not long enough to warrant it has

I fly till the tanks nearly dry.. and thats on everytank.. My worries are when I'm inverted for too long, it starves it and I aint practiced enough auto's, let alone from inverted..
From your post you know why i'm asking about the clunk line. TBH, I'm not liking the idea of a header as it looks stupid sticking out so much and has to be the magnets and whats the point of filling up early by leaving 1/4 tank everytime because of this prob?.. anyways, as previously posted, its sorted now with the FL tubing

                      EDIT:

TBH.. Yes, there was problems with this kit as I had loads but I'd expect it as its new.. just like people did with Avant.. No doubt if we brought this kit a year later, none of the problems would be present I also have to disagree with the UK Customer services.. With the problems I had, I got fed up and just mailed them to moan despite already buying the new parts already.. they were quick to return my email.. asked for a number and they called that same evening with various options of goodwill that I prefered.. I cant say that about many vendors
