  • 50th anivarsary of space flight today.

Not really that long at it when you think of it, but also quite quick going from the Wright flyer (1903) to Vostok 1 (1961).
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

All those involved must have had balls of iron. Don't tell me they were innocently unaware of the risks, Gagarin must have known he had a 50/50 chance at best.

    Serious respect.

Well its amazing what they have done so far, my only wish would be that they stopped all the money going into the military around the world and ploughed that money into going into Space by now we'd have a colony on the Moon and be heading to Mars.

Unfortunately Human nature for War,Bitching and Fighting is holding us back!

The human race needs to get over itself and move on and then we can explore the great unknown.

Ask kids 20+ years ago what they wanted to be, an astronaut was the common answer. Ask now and its a celebrity lol.

Unfortuantly because of the deficit in the states I dont think anything amazing from NASA is around the corner ( I could be wrong).

Agreed with what Mark said, perhaps to much money is being, almost wasted, on these current wars and to be honest wars in my view doesnt show whos right but whos left.

It doesnt bode well with me that the only thing people are going to see on TV in years to come is Big Brother instead of (un)manned missions to outer space.
