I have change the engine bearing, main shaft bearing, clutch bearing about 3 weeks ago, and i have just taking the engine out and had a look and feel and the bearing feel brand new still alone with the main shaft bearings, i have checked ever bolt, nut, screw and everything else on the heli. I will start the suggestions with worn head dampers and/or grip thrust bearings.

    Could be many things.

Thrust bearings the correct way round in the head?

When you say the correct way round, what do you mean? I'm having issues with my own heli that makes no sense at the minute.

The washer looking things that go either side of the actual bearing will have an "in" & an "out" way round. So the "in" ones go nearest the head and the "out" ones go nearest the blades.
Some of them have the words in/out stamped on them others you've just got to guess!

OK sorry to Stunks for hijacking his thread but...

When I look at the two 'washers' the PT ones don't have the words in and out on them, however one of them has a slightly smaller hole in the center. So which one is the one that goes nearest the head? I didn't realise they were sided so I could possibly have put mine in wrong.

The larger one, the one with more clearance goes nearest the centre, the smallest one, the one with least clearance goes on the outside, so in order from centre of hub, Large Diameter race, ball bearing assembly, small diameter race.

OK so could that cause tail wag if it was the wrong way round? I need to check them I think.

Yea, any vibrations can interfere with the gyro which transltes into all manor of symptoms, wagging, nodding, twitching etc.

(From memory I think some models have a right and a wrong way round for the bearing assy as well)
